Document technology improves processes. Captaris Document Technologies is using DOKuStar Professional Version 3.0 not only to expand the actual analysis of documents but also to optimize their DOKuStar Capture Suite, a complete document classification and data extraction system. The RecoStar Full Page Reader is also a specialist in document transformation, providing the fastest conversion of bitmap documents such as scans or faxes into text or searchable PDFs currently available on the market. All three products offer intelligent document technology which perfectly complements Microsoft Windows SharePoint® 2007. Also new - Single Click Entry Version 1.4.

DOKuStar Professional is especially suitable for a wide range of document capture applications in environments with mixed document types, for example, incoming mail applications. This new version increases the productivity of the capture processes and simplifies interaction with the software during both project creation and everyday production processes. It was developed under the maxim of, "configuration not programming".

DOKuStar Professional Version 3.0 has easy-to-configure import interfaces, so-called "hot spots" to the following standard system environments: SharePoint, e-mail, the file system and FTP. Writer modules are available for the export of data to SharePoint lists and libraries (PDF/A, InfoPath, Attribute) and file storage (TIFF, PDF/A, XML).

The new recognition module, SnapMatch is also easy to configure. Developed for database-supported data extraction, SnapMatch is used when data such as customer numbers, or article and order numbers, are to be recognized in a document. A particular feature of SnapMatch is that the document extraction fields must not be predefined. Instead, only a simple CSV file in the database needs to be configured.

The DOKuStar Capture Suite (DCS) is a complete system for implementing automatic classification and metadata extraction applications for business documents in the form of scanned papers, images or faxes as well as original electronic documents, such as PDF files. The automation with OCR, ICR and IDR is handled by DOKuStar Professional 3.0. This new Capture Suite version considerably simplifies the implementation of solutions. Capture Suite offers preconfigured modules for the import and export of data to and from standard systems, PDF/A data output, as well as a modular structured reporting module with predefined standard reports at no extra price. Thanks to its modularity and scalability, the system is suitable for both simple and complex solutions with high processing volume and stability requirements.

The RecoStar Full Page Reader was developed to capture the content of scanned and digital fax documents and to make their content available for subsequent searches, classification, analysis and research. The RecoStar Full Page Reader offers impressively quick and efficient conversion of scanned documents to searchable PDFs and PDF/A (the new archiving standard) or to pure text files (XML format, ASCII text). It supports all major bitmap formats: FAX, TIFF, JPG, BMP, GIF and PDF. Almost error-free results are provided by the character recognition, which is also integrated in RecoStar Professional and ensures an extremely fast capture speed of up to 6,000 characters per second. The RecoStar Full Page Reader can be used wherever large quantities of documents are to be produced by scanning or fax and then distributed. MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server) is an ideal target platform with a large potential both for small and medium-sized firms as well as for large user companies. The goal here is to make a large number of paper-based business documents available for the 'Collaboration', 'Search', 'Enterprise Content Management', 'Business Process Management' and 'Business Intelligence' functions. Single Click Entry is the perfect solution for the semi-automated transfer of data from documents to specialized applications. This solves the problem of tedious and error-prone manual data entry, as data transfer from a document to an application, for example ERP, CRM, DMS, Excel, is carried out at the click of a mouse. This semi-automatic capture solution proves its value in situations where fully automatic extraction cannot be economically justified, e.g. when the document volume is too low or the documents are too unstructured. The newly released version 1.4 has both improved OCR and a new application finder, with which Single Click Entry can connect to wide range of applications.
