Remittance Processing System for National Savings, UK

SBS National Savings in Great Britain handles more than 13,000 checks and application forms with remittance processing systems from Open Text Document Technologies. The challenge was that documents have different paper weight and sizes. All checks must be processed by 3pm the same day.

The remittance processing systems consist of the TransStar 5645 document reader with a newly developed spiral stacker module as well as the software products RecoStar and BUSY. The new spiral stacker module guarantees highest security in paper transport and stacking. National Savings uses Open Text Document Technologies systems for its private investor sector and government financed projects since May of 1999.

The new contract was awarded because of two reasons: Our reputation as a leading supplier of imaging and data entry systems. And our references from United Kingdom Passport Agency (processing of coloured passport application forms) and National Savings' satisfaction with the first project.
